About Me
I'm a User Experience Designer who loves the web, technology, business, and experiences that are fun and make you want to interact with the product or service more. I love the idea of "business" - the competition, strategy, planning, and execution that's needed to get ahead.
What I Do
I work at a company headquartered near Philadelphia, PA called Lincoln Financial Group. I'm part of the Digital Business team and am having a lot of fun developing a user-centered design methodology at Lincoln.
But That's Not All
I have many hobbies - far too many in fact to spend as much time with them as I would like to. But that doesn't keep me from trying to squeeze in work where I can - whether that's trying to get a little more of a book read on a plane, designing a website for a friend, or managing my own retirement - I try to get every minute out of life that I can.

I have a wide variety of interests and love learning new things! I am convinced more and more each day that the secret to life is finding time to do everything.
In pursuit of that goal, when I'm not trying to design better user experiences (or understand existing great experiences), building websites, or spending time with family and friends, you can usually find me engaged in something related to:
Dilbert - There is a comic for every situation in business (also a little too true sometimes)
Reading - Frank Herbert's Dune Series or books about the American Civil War, Business, or Interaction Design
Board Games - The Settlers of Catan, Acquire, and I'm the Boss are my favorites
Investing - The best way to get me to save money is to tell me I can invest it in the stock market
Camping - We have a great Eureka tent and being outdoors always helps keep things in perspective
I love traveling and visiting new places. I might not have liked every single family vacation or trip as a child but now credit my parents with my desire to see new things. I have been fortunate enough to have visited:
35 of the 50 United States
Germany, Austria, and France
China and Hong Kong
Canada, of course!
I've always been fascinated by computers and technology. I grew up on DOS and was fascinated with any computer that entered our house. From then my interests have only been accelerating. I don't consider myself a programmer, but I enjoy getting the most out of technology and utilizing it to make others' lives and my life easier, more efficient, and more interesting.
